Team Wins Two And Heads for Myrtle Beach
Coach Kavka split the team and they beat North Brunswick 164-183 on April 7.
They were led by J.R. Licato's 38 on their home course, the West Nine. The other half of the team beat Perth
Amboy 173-213, led by Zach Olim's 38 at the West Nine. This leaves the Tigers with a 10-4 record. A 60% win ratio is needed to qualify for the state tournament.
As the team returns from Myrtle Beach with their fathers, matches with
Bishop Ahr at Oak Ridge, Sayreville at Tamarack, Johnson Regional at the West Nine and North Brunswick at Tamarack will be played, weather permitting. The team is confident that they will qualify for the
states as they have for the last 26 years.
Next week: Results of the April 12 game at Centerton in Elmer.
