Team Wins Two, Qualifies For State Tournament
On April 28 the Tigers were rained out of their match with Bishop Ahr on the Oak Ridge Golf Course.
Both teams were relieved when the coaches agreed that it was not the day to play golf, even if the course was open.
On April 29 they traveled to Tamarack where the Tigers beat Sayerville 178-193, led by J.R. Licato's 43. The highlight of the match
occurred on the first hole where some of the players saw a large banded water snake catch a large frog and try to swallow it. The frog got away and the snake swam in the opposite direction.
The team returned to Tamarack on May 1 for a match with North Brunswick. The Tigers won 181-196. This time
Richie Szeliga fired a 43 to lead the Tigers.
This week they played Woodbridge, Johnson Ray and Woodbridge again.
